Leave at Home!
When sailing on Royal Caribbean, there are several items that are prohibited from being brought on board. These are items to leave at home! If you bring them, there is a good chance they will be confiscated. Here's a list of items that you should avoid bringing:
Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
All firearms (rifles, pistols, shotguns, revolvers)
Weapon parts and ammunition
BB guns, pellet guns, paintball guns, flare guns
Realistic replicas of firearms
Explosives (fireworks, dynamite, grenades, gunpowder, bomb components)
Candles, incense, hot plates, clothing irons, travel steamers
Cooking fuels, gasoline, lighter fluid, gas torches
Aerosols (except personal toiletries)
Hoverboards
Extension cords and power strips
Car batteries
Flammable liquids (paint thinner, turpentine, etc.)
Knives with blades 4 inches or longer
Switchblades and locking blades
Concealed or disguised knives
Scissors with blades 4 inches or longer
Swords, sabers, box cutters, ice picks
Exceptions:
Recreational dive knives (held by ship security)
Alaskan Ulu knives (must stay in stateroom)
Small personal grooming tools (nail files, small scissors, etc.)
Axes, hammers, drills, saws
Large wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers (over 7 inches)
Pepper spray, mace, stun guns
Brass knuckles, billy clubs, night sticks
Martial arts weapons, throwing stars
Bows and arrows
Handcuffs
Bats, hockey sticks, skateboards, surfboards, golf clubs, bicycles
(Allowed onboard but must remain stored in stateroom)
Chlorine, bleach, spray paint, tear gas
Fire extinguishers
Compressed gas cylinders (unless empty dive tanks or medical)
Spillable batteries (except wheelchairs)
HAM radios
Small compressed gas cartridges
Only 1 unopened 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne per adult on embarkation day
No other alcohol allowed
Confiscated alcohol returned at end of cruise (opened or smuggled alcohol is destroyed)
No cooked food, raw food, or perishable items
Only packaged dry snacks allowed (chips, candy, nuts, etc.)
